Tolerance Ring

Tolerance rings are slotted sleeves made of spring band material, which have wave-like corrugations. The operating principle of this elastic connection can be illustrated by many small compression springs distributed around the circumference. These are pretensioned when the Tolerance Ring is pressed in, thus creating a frictional, yet detachable shaft-hub connection.

The tolerance ring is used in the form of frictional connections in pumps, compressors, in electric motors or in conveyor technology.
