Positioning Accuracy

The positioning accuracy describes the deviation from the desired position, resulting e.g. from a calculated number of motor steps, and the position actually reached. This deviation results from the stiffnesses, any existing play of the drive/guide components, the lead error, e.g. of a screw drive used, and the deviation of the linear guide used from the ideal guide line.
